Further Information:

Additional Information: Margaret was active in the Irish women's suffrage movement and was a founder member of the Irish Women's Franchise League (IWFL), speaking at many meetings in Dublin. By 1909, she was working in London, England for the WSPU. She was arrested likely three times for militant activities although, as some of these occurred on trips back to Ireland, they are not recorded in the Home Office arrest records, which list her just once. She was imprisoned in Holloway Gaol for window-smashing and received a one-month sentence.
