Further Information:

Additional Information: Kate was involved with the women's suffrage movement in the Bromley area of London from the early 1880s. She was a member of the WFL and a keen tax resister. In 1911, she refused to pay inhabited house duty, and in 1912 barricaded her house so that the bailiffs could not enter to seize her goods. She was sentenced and imprisoned for a week for not paying taxes.
