Family information: Daughter of Henrietta Lowy and sister to Gertrude Lowy.

Additional Information: Ethel was arrested in 1911 and sentenced to one month in prison for breaking a window in the Strand, London. By 1912, she was honorary secretary of the WSPU branch in Felixstowe. In 1913, she was group captain of section C of Emily Wilding Davison's enormous funeral procession through London, and in 1915, Ethel donated to the fund raised by the East London Federation of Suffragettes (ELFS) to provide distress relief in the poorest parts of East London.
