Further Information:

Additional Information: Caroline was a friend of Helen Taylor, stepdaughter to John Stuart Mill and 1866 petition organiser. Helen asked Caroline if she would help collect signatures and she enthusiastically agreed. Caroline was still collecting signatures to the very last minute, writing to Helen: 'In order to get these signatures shall I trouble you to let me have another petition or can I have them placed on the last which I had the pleasure to send to you?' Despite her enthusiasm, Caroline does not appear to have been active in the votes for women movement thereafter.
